Jellow Talk Communicator for Speech to Text & Text to Voice

The Jellow Talk Communicator with Speech to Text and Text to Speech features converts speech or voice and displays it as text (Speech to Text) + reads aloud typed in text (Text to Speech).

The continuous Speech/Listen mode helps users to record long continuous Speech/Talks during long conversations, classes, conferences, etc. and see it displayed as Text.

The Jellow talk used as an AAC application is designed to facilitate instant and direct conversation between people who have difficulty with loss of Speech and Hearing and those that can Speak and Hear. This includes people with Aphasia and Autism.

The text is displayed as continuous threads, one after another, and let's you see, find, copy conversations easily and the search function lets you search through text.

  • What are the best devices to use the Jellow Talk application?
    The Jellow Talk application works on Android/Apple tablets and mobiles and has been specifically optimized for tablets.

  • What operating systems are compatible with the Jellow Talk application?
    The Jellow Talk application is currently compatible with Android devices (Android versions 5.0 and above) and on the iOS platform.

  • Can the Jellow Talk application run offline?
    Jellow Talk can run offline on your device. An Internet connection is only required at the time of download of the application and to update the different voice(s) of the language(s).

  • How do I use the Jellow Talk application?
    Jellow Talk is an aid for communication between people who have difficulty with Speech and Hearing and those that can Speak and Hear. One needs to type in what needs to be spoken and converted to speech through the speakers and what is spoken gets recorded and converted to text which can be read on the screen.

  • Which versions is Jellow Talk available in?
    In this version the user is allowed to choose the language and accent of their choice using a drop-down menu in the settings screen.

  • Which keyboard to use for 'Text to Speech' converstion and for 'Speech Practice'?
    The most preferred keyboard is the English (Roman) Keyboard. Jellow Talk may not work properly on other language keyboards.

  • While using the Jellow Talk application, the voice and pronunciation of words is not clear. What do I do?
    The application uses the Google Text-To-Speech (TTS) engine. Most devices already have the Google tts engine activated. However, on all Samsung devices, the Samsung tts engine is activated by default. In case your device does not have the Google TTS engine, it can be downloaded from Google play using the link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tts&hl=en

  • What languages and accents are available within Jellow Talk? How do I change the language output of the app?
    Currently, the Jellow Talk application supports all the language(s) and its voice(s) given by Google Text-to-Speech Engine on the Android devices.
